Welcome to Forward
The Coffee is On
Everyone is welcome at Forward Church. We want you to feel it as soon as you step in the door, so our volunteers strive to welcome people individually, and have a coffee ready for you. Come a bit early, check in your children (they’ll have a great time, guaranteed), check out our free wifi in Perks Café, find your place in the main auditorium, and have a great morning with us!
Welcome Mat is your time to meet us and ask questions.
Rolling out the Red Carpet
(or at least a small Welcome Mat)
Coming to a new church can be an overwhelming experience. The Welcome Mat is a time that is set aside for you to introduce yourself to Pastors and Team Leaders, meet others who are new in the journey, obtain key information about Forward Church and get all your questions answered. You’ll learn about our purpose and vision, our mission, and our actions! We want you to feel connected, at home, and ready to fully participate in the Forward family.

Find your unique place to serve and grow…
In a Group and on a Team
Giving up your precious time to serve goes against the conventional wisdom. You may think, “My life is already stretched to the max.” But if you’re feeling frazzled and disconnected, the very best way to get to know others is to serve alongside people who have similar passions and gifts as you. Serving at church is more than volunteerism – you are building up the living body of Christ. Forward Church is different than some churches, where a small percentage do all the work and everyone else observes; at Forward we ask everyone to be in a small group, and on a serving team. We have so many serving teams that it is possible to pick one that really dovetails with your gifting!

Your baptism celebration awaits…
Taking a dip for the best cause on earth
At Forward Church we practice baptism by immersion; that’s right you’re going to get wet! Baptism is symbolic of the fact that Jesus died, was buried and rose again and it is a public declaration to the world that you are a follower of Jesus Christ. That is worth celebrating, and you can invite your friends and family to cheer you on, along with our entire church family. Stage fright? No problem, we promise to make it easy for you. If you have made the decision to become a follower of Jesus, he has specifically asked you to be baptized, so we encourage you to connect with us to find out when the next baptism service is and how you can plan your celebration!

Membership is saying, “I’m in!”
Fully Part of a Caring Community
What is membership, why should I become a member of Forward Church? After your baptism, membership is a great step to fully enter into the life of the caring community we call Forward Church. Learn what we are all about by exploring our beliefs, mission, values, purpose, and our team approach to ministry. Beyond being a great way to understand more about the church, this course is also a prerequisite for church membership, and for leading teams. You are welcome!
Membership is explained in The Welcome Mat. To check out or join The Welcome Mat, click here.
