Find your unique place to serve and grow…
In a Group and on a Team
Giving up your precious time to serve goes against the conventional wisdom. You may think, “My life is already stretched to the max.” But if you’re feeling frazzled and disconnected, the very best way to get to know others is to serve alongside people who have similar passions and gifts as you. Serving at church is more than volunteerism – you are building up the living body of Christ. At Forward, we ask everyone to be in a small group, and on a serving team. We have so many serving teams that it is possible to pick one that really dovetails with your gifting!
In the sections below you will find each of our ministries and the serving teams within. There’s no secret handshake, and you’re not signing up for life. Some teams have special requirements, like police checks for working with children, or auditions for musicians. Just find a team you’re interested in, and contact us for more information!
Serving kids together – for Him, for them, for Life!
Dedication. Inspiration. Transformation.
Caution! Kidz Town volunteering is a life-changing adventure. Are you connected to God through Christ, connected to others in a caring community, and called by God to serve parents and inspire children? Let’s talk!
Finding your place to serve on the Kidz Town volunteer team is a great way to connect with others while using your unique gifts and talents to impact children.
Need more information about taking the next step? Check out the teams serving in Children & Family. Serving our children requires a police check, which we will guide you through. If you have questions, contact Neil.

Serving on Music and Tech Teams
Cherishing God’s Presence
“A faithful worship leader magnifies the greatness of God in Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit, by skillfully combining God’s Word with music, thereby motivating the gathered church, to proclaim the gospel, to cherish God’s presence, and to live for God’s glory.” – Bob Kauflin
Our Sunday gatherings matter, and each week a small army of music and technical people gather in two cities to practice, laugh, and work together to ensure that the name of Jesus is lifted high in our communities. Our hope is that our songs, scripture, teaching and prayer will spill over into your week, when you need it most. If you’re musical or technical, and interested in joining our team, we’d love to hear from you!
