Serving in Global Engagement

Serve the World

Our Global Engagement Team plans “Discipleship Trips” annually, to lend a helping hand to those serving abroad with us long-term.  We’re also involved in local initiatives through our Refugee Lead Team, and our Conversation Circles to inspire newcomers to Canada in improving their English.  Our “We Serve Missions” Team prays for missionaries monthly.

Welcoming People at all Stages of the Journey

Everyone is welcome at Forward Church, and we want to make sure each individual who walks in the door knows it. Our goal is to create a remarkable and memorable environment where people can feel comfortable and ultimately experience God’s presence.  People arrive at Forward Church at all stages of their spiritual journey.  Our Frontlines Team strives to welcome every person who enters our doors, put them at ease, and have the coffee ready!

Cherishing God’s Presence

“A faithful worship leader magnifies the greatness of God in Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit, by skillfully combining God’s Word with music, thereby motivating the gathered church, to proclaim the gospel, to cherish God’s presence, and to live for God’s glory.”  – Bob Kauflin

Our Sunday gatherings matter, and each week a small army of music and technical people gather in two cities to practice, laugh, and work together to ensure that the name of Jesus is lifted high in our communities.  Our hope is that our songs, scripture, teaching and prayer will spill over into your week, when you need it most.  If you’re musical or technical, and interested in joining our team, we’d love to hear from you!
