One of my favourite prayers in all of scripture is recorded in Mark 9:24 where a Father brings a son who is suffering from demonic possession to Jesus to heal him “if he can.” When Jesus calls him out on his unbelief the man responds with this incredibly authentic and relatable prayer: “I do believe, he me overcome my unbelief.”
What would it look like for us to confess our unbelief to God in areas where we need his help and to invite him to help us overcome it?
