In this session we’ll encounter the bad news: we are hopelessly lost and under God’s righteous judgment outside of Christ. Paul in these chapters builds out the human predicament which forms the backdrop to the very good news – the gospel of Jesus Christ!
In this session we will explore the good news of the gospel as we learn how faith in Jesus Christ makes us right before God and frees us from the penalty and power of sin.
In this session we will learn the vital role of the Holy Spirit in enabling us to live in the new way of the Spirit rather than the old rule-based way of trying to please God through the law.
In this session we’ll explore why Paul shifts the discussion toward God’s providence and the role of the Jewish nation in God’s plan. You will gain a better understanding of who God is and how he keeps his promises from the very beginning.
In this final session Paul answers the question: How shall we then live? We will learn what it means to respond with our whole selves to God’s radical love expressed through Jesus Christ. The implications will be not only for our individual lives, but how we respond as a church, the body of Christ.
