Job Summary:
The Director of Worship for a church site is a part-time position responsible to oversee all elements of
worship ministry at a particular location of Forward Church
This individual must be able to maintain strict confidentiality and privacy in their work
Job Requirements:
- A member of Forward Church
- Must agree in belief and practice with the Articles of Faith, Covenant of Membership, and
- Lifestyle Statement of Forward Church (Section II of Church Bylaws)
- Must be able to sign and abide by the Engagement Agreement & Conduct (Section IV 18.01 of Church Bylaws)
- Capable of identifying, training, and supporting volunteer ministry leaders
- Excellent music and worship leading skills
Accountability:
- The Worship Director is accountable to the Worship Pastor
Direct Reports:
- Serve Team Members – Music Teams
Responsibilities:
- Lead teams to create environments that assist people to engage in meaningful worship experiences through in-person and online services
- Identifying, training, and coaching worship leaders and band members
- Working with the production director to assess technology needs
- Work with the set design team to create visually engaging spaces
- Comply with all standard operating procedures for Volunteer Management
- Consistent relational investment in all volunteer leaders with at least three touch points annually.
- Serve on the Worship Ministries Team for all of Forward Church
- Collaborate with other leaders to ensure effective worship ministries at Forward Church
- Regular Meetings with Worship Pastor and Site Pastor
- Site Operations Meeting each month
