Celebration Sunday – The God Who is Worthy of Our Worship (Derik Fuller) | Worthy

Week 2  •  Celebration Sunday

Worthy

Of Our Worship

After seeing the worthiness of God in Week 1, Week 2 turns to the question: What kind of worship is worthy of such a God?

In Romans 12:1–2, Paul calls believers to offer their entire lives to God as “living sacrifices.” Worship is not confined to a Sunday gathering or a moment of singing. It is a whole-life response to the mercy of God.

As we gather all our Forward Church sites together for Celebration Sunday, we want to celebrate all God has done in and through our church this past year while also calling our people toward deeper surrender and devotion.

“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”
— Romans 12:1

This message will emphasize that worthy worship is:

Surrendered worship

Transformed worship

Everyday worship

Worship that flows from gratitude for God’s mercy

The goal is that our church would not merely admire the worthiness of God but increasingly become a people whose lives reflect His worth — in the way we live, love, serve, give, obey, and follow Jesus together.
