We’re Looking for a Weekend Custodian

Every weekend, people walk through our doors at Forward Church Cambridge looking for community, connection, and hope. A clean, welcoming space makes all the difference — and that’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a part-time custodian to join our team, working 20 hours a week on weekends. If you’re the kind of person who takes pride in a job well done, notices the little details others miss, and likes knowing your work genuinely matters, we’d love to meet you.

What Your Weekends Would Look Like

Your schedule would centre around Sundays, with hours on Friday and Saturday flexing to match our services and events. You’d be the one making sure the building and property is ready to welcome people for Sunday morning worship services and then cleaning to prepare for our other ministries throughout the week.

It’s hands-on work. Some lifting, some moving furniture, a lot of walking. And at the end of your shift, you’ll know exactly why it mattered.

Who We’re Hoping to Find

Someone reliable who shows up ready to work. Someone who can take initiative without needing to be told what’s next. Someone who cares about doing things well, even the parts no one else notices. Custodial or facilities experience is great, but it’s not a must — a strong work ethic goes a long way.
