What happens when ordinary men catch a glimpse of the glory of God?

In Luke 9, Jesus takes Peter, James, and John up a mountain where everything changes. Before their eyes, Jesus is transfigured — His divine glory revealed in breathtaking fullness. Moses and Elijah appear beside Him, speaking about His coming mission in Jerusalem, while the voice of the Father declares: “This is My Son, My Chosen One; listen to Him.”

This moment was more than a miracle. It was a revelation. The disciples were given a glimpse of the glory beyond the suffering, the victory beyond the cross, and the true identity of Jesus as the center of God’s redemptive plan.

Big Idea: Seeing Jesus’ glory strengthens our faith to follow Him.

As followers of Jesus, we are reminded that the hardships of discipleship are not the end of the story. The glory of Christ sustains us, strengthens us, and calls us to keep listening, trusting, and following Him.
