By the time the people of Israel exited out of Egypt and into the wilderness they numbered in the millions. Where would food and water be found for so many people? As the people recognized their precarious situation they began to grumble against God, despite all he had done for them. Still, when Moses cried out to God, God in his goodness provided everything that they needed. In fact not only did he provide for their physical needs through food and water, he promised that if they would only trust him he would also provide for their rest.
