How to be a Friend (Proverbs 18:24, Proverbs 27:5-6, John 15:12-13)

At the core of true friendship is commitment and a willingness to be open and transparent. Friendship is developed over time, is strengthened through sacrifice, and is deepened through honesty. The cost involved in being a friend involves putting ourselves aside for the sake of another person and being willing to place our trust in another person. As we learn to do those things we not only grow as friends, we grow as Christ followers.
