One of the ways the church is most often described in the New Testament is as a body. None of us is a body on our own, we can only be the body together, there is no such thing as an independent Christian. When we come together and function interdependently, playing the unique and important roles God has given every one of us to play, we live out God’s purpose for us and display Jesus to the world.
