You can’t do it alone. (Exodus 18: 1-27)

In Exodus 18, Moses comes to a point where he is worn out trying to lead and manage the affairs of the people of Israel on his own. In this moment, Moses’ father-in-law Jethro comes forward to offer some great advice when he tells Moses, “this thing is too heavy for you. You are not able to do it alone.” God’s design for us, both His design for life and His design for leadership, is that it should be done together. In this passage Jethro offers up Moses and us some principles for sharing the load with others.
